A Prayer from St. Teresa of Avila

Christ has no body now but yours, no hands but yours, no feet but yours.

Yours are the eyes through which Christ’s compassion must look out on the world.

Yours are the feet with which He is to go about doing good.

Yours are the hands with which He is to bless us now.

My Prayer of Mission: Isaiah 61:1-3

“The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, because the Lord has anointed Me to preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound, to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn, to console those who mourn in Zion, to give them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.”

Journey Toward Nonviolence: Getting Started

Here is a video I created about a new series I’m launching called Journey Toward Nonviolence. This ongoing series will be a place for me to share reflections I’ve had over this past year as I’ve studied nonviolence and peacemaking.

In this intro video, you get a sneak peek inside my beloved journals!

You're amazing.

Thank you for being one who flags me down..."Get off the freeway...slow down...look what I found that's soooo beautiful!"

So awesome! Thank you, thank you, thank you for these glimpses into your year and your summer . . . I'm excited about the journey, both the one you went on this year (and are one) and the one I get to take with you!

On a totally different note, what do you use for journals? They look both sturdy and flexible, which I've had trouble finding ;)

Thanks, girls, for your sweet notes. :)

Sarah, these notebooks are very similar to Moleskines but for a much more affordable price. They even have the big pocket on the inside back cover that Moleskines have. The brand is Piccadilly. You can find them at Borders for around $5 each. Great steal for amazing quality and lots of pages!
